Clarice Feldman in comments notes an article by Kimberly Hefling on Murtha that demonstrates an odd inability to find specific negative comments concerning old cut 'n run. Understandable, one might suppose, if you are only going to ask troops from a National Guard unit headquartered in his district. I doubt that it would be difficult to find a few Marines who would be willing to give a short summary of their thoughts concerning Mr. "Okinawa is just next door".

Robert Burns doesn't hesitate to rely upon a single anonymous coward as his "source" for this hit piece concerning the incident at Hamdinaya. What is the news value of a disobedient officer's charaterization of a report?
UPDATE: After reading Clarice Feldman's American Thinker report on the Hamdinaya story I believe that should anyone at the Pentagon wish to discover Burns' source, they might want to start with Gen. Magee and his staff.

Liz Sidoti gets the 'fissure' angle in early but is a bit disingenous in distinguishing the cut 'n runners from the cut 'n joggers. Somehow the phrase stay the course Dems eludes her. Perhaps Senator Lieberman could draw her a picture?

Why are we suddenly hearing stories about soldierslike this? I mean there was ABu Ghraib, which was nasty and the press did go ape over that, but all of a sudden I am supposed to believe that Marines decided to start killing people they were not supposed to kill? Sounds kinda fishy to me.
